The most elegant slasher movie ever made

Monday, April 21st, 2008

The most elegant slasher movie ever made. Tim Burtons most focused, alert and satisfying film since Ed Wood Sweeney Todd DVD In Tobys story, even more than in Sweeney Todds, the film observes the evolution of vengeance as ethos, the ways it can come to look like justice, a means to escape living hells. A movie musical for people who dont like musicals, in the way that — for example — Kenneth Branaghs Frankenstein was a horror movie for people who dont like horror movies. Its like Dario Argento blood just spurting everywhere…

Bodhran Players

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

A good sheepdog and a good bodhran player have a lot in common, the bigger the mob the bigger the mess. Sessions are a learning experience for everyone and when you mix a bunch of musos of various backgrounds and set them on the same path of playing JUST THIS ONE TUNE the results are a technicolour yawn of mistakes, interpretations and other assorted stuff-ups such as unhelpful reeds, soggy bodhrans, squeeky fiddles, button clacky accordions. Add a couple of people who have not yet had explained to them the seventy thousand laws, rules bylaws and sub sections of “session etiquette” and are simply playing along cause they love the music and the people and it is a bloody wonder the tunes get out. And a bloody wonder it is because they do get out and every now and again there is the blissful result of a tune played well. TIME FOR A GROUP HUG KIDDIES, we are getting far too serious about this stuff, Next session you go to, turn to the person on either side and offer some warmth, you will be rewarded!

Enjoying yourself in the capital - The London Eye & The Theatre

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

The city is packed full of unbelievable places to investigate. Mentioned here are simply 2 events.

The world famous London Eye is also known as the Millennium Wheel, for people who didn’t know this, the wheel is, in fact a Ferris wheel - and a chance for the London masses to view London from abounding and different perspectives from around the sky.

With roughly 40 k of sweeping views on clear days, the Millennium Wheel presents its guests with beautiful sights of our capital & loads of London’s acclaimed monuments. The wheel is, possible to scout out the London Eye at night or day – the hard option will probably be choosing which you want to do, visit during the day whilst the landmarks are seeable or possibly at night-time so one can get a remarkably spectacular view of London’s lights.

Theatreland within London has been around since back in the the early Victorian times, indeed, the lion’s share of the actual theatres are of late Victorian or Edwardian times. The properties come with a superb appearance & this can add to the attraction of going on a night out to them. West end acts run for an irregular number of weeks. This is often dependent on the theatre’s admission numbers.

The tickets are also not as high priced as they were famous for being, but they are still not uncostly. If someone books tickets quickly then one might often purchase the tickets at a better price. Keep a look out & for reduced prices that particular companies may offer. Maybe it would be nice to go out so you can get a delicious meal before you go to the theatre, or possibly book a room in one of the London hotels afterwards. Time Out will be sure to ensure your trip to a theatre smother - and more pleasurable with its regular advice of which can be the leading performances around our capital and perhaps those productions people should avoid. Order your London theatre tickets online with Time Out.

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Aside from the movie’s mouthful title, this is a contemplative and carousing exposition. The prairie-induced pathos is plenty to digest with absolute reverence. This is the year’s epic western, and one wonders why it took so long to get out of the cutting room. Buy Jesse James HD DVD today.

It is a broody psychological Western, a lot of peering out into endless prairie landscapes, as much Ingmar Bergman as John Ford, with a little bit of Heathcliff thrown in. Brad Pitt struts his bad boy outlaw stuff with guns blazing, and a good cigar smoke after the deed is done.

The best sequel titles of any franchise

Monday, November 19th, 2007

I walked into my home theater expecting the worst from live free or die hard blu-ray. It’s the first in the franchise to be rated a wimpy PG-13 instead of a very Hard R rating. But this fourth Die Hard movie is a pleasant surprise.

What Wedding Insurance does not cover?

Monday, November 19th, 2007

Wedding insurance is one way of protecting the groom and the bride against any unforeseen losses and circumstances. Whatever happens, a wedding insurance can reimburse the couple for whatever expenses incurred during any bad circumstances.

A change of heart. It is best to make up your mind completely before spending too much or suffering from a lifetime affair. Cold feet at the last minute of your wedding are not covered by any wedding insurance.

Jewelry. Most wedding insurance are designed to replace or repair damaged wedding rings. However, they do not cover watches, jewelry, or semi-precious gemstones or pearls even if they are attached to clothing or to any wedding anniversary gift. Most importantly, a wedding insurance will not cover your lost or damaged engagement ring.

Transformers HD-DVD

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

The action scenes in the Transformers HD-DVD movie mark the highlight of the 2007 summer blockbuster season. Bay is fortunate in having LaBeouf as his lead actor, for it is Shia LaBeouf’s non-threatening All-American Boy looks and innocence that give the movie the emotional grounding it needs to be more than just the lumbering mechanical creation it could easily have become without him. In keeping with Michael Bay’s desire to make Transformers realistic, the robots were designed more intricately to look more 3D and to reflect their alien origins.
